Leaders within the pilot group.
- Responsible for evaluating candidate performance and compliance with Mesa Airlines, Inc. policies and procedures in accordance with appropriate Mesa Airlines, Inc. training programs.
- Demonstrates a high working level of aircraft systems and procedures.
- Possesses the ability to recognize, identify, and correct any deficiencies of student’s performance promptly.
- Displays high level of professionalism in appearance and demeanor and is not combative of students.
- Possesses excellent organizational skills.
- Must comply with applicable requirements contained within the Mesa Airlines, Inc. General Operations manual and Check Airman manual which conditions are subject to change without notice.
- Must be able to accept additional assignments from the Manager of Flight Standards or Chief Flight Instructor as appropriate to assist in development and revision of flight operations manuals and training courseware.
- Knowledge of job descriptions, all related flight crew training manuals, all the appropriate Flight Operations manuals, the FSIMS 8900.1 as applicable, the Practical Test Standards, Jeppesen manuals and Mesa Airlines, Inc. memoranda.
- Other duties as assigned to perform the requirements of the position.
| | Minimum Job Requirements: | - Meets the Flight Instructor qualifications of FAR 121.412.
- Meets the Appendix H to Part 121—Advanced Simulation, item 3
- Must be able to pass a 10 year background check
- Must be able to pass a 5 year PRIA check
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required.
