Title: Fleet Manager Job code: MBMFLM Reports To: Sr. Manager of Technical Programs CO: 02 Dept: 6030 Location: PHX Status: Exempt Salary Range:     40-50k EEO1 1.2 EEO Job 1B Position Summary:   The Fleet Manager reports to the Senior Manager of Technical Programs and is responsible for monitoring the operational performance of his assigned fleet, participating in industry events related to product and operational reliability improvement, monitors OEM (original equipment manufacturer) and vendor notices and data releases, and reviewing available modifications for possible improvements of their assigned fleet and has the responsibility to report facts and findings to the IRB.   Essential Functions:   §      Coordinates with maintenance and flight operations to ensure the most efficient and reliable operating procedures are utilized. §      Coordinates with the OEM and vendors to ensure fleet reliability issues are addressed in a timely manner. §      Coordinates the rectification of repeat discrepancies and monitor results for confirmation of corrective action. §      Monitors OEM and vendor notices and data releases and reviewing available modifications available for possible improvements to ensure maximum performance of the aircraft. §      Presenting selected or requested modifications to the IRB for approval. §      Develops a corrective action on systems or components identified §      by the Reliability program as operating above the assigned alter level. §      Suggests revisions to the maintenance program as required to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation of aircraft or assigned system. §      Reviews all Service Bulletins and other technical data from the OEM and vendors for revisions to current modification programs in work, to ensure the most current documentation is used. §      Prepares for review and approval Fleet Campaign Directives (FCD) to conduct immediate inspection of the fleet as required. §      Requests additional training of maintenance, ramp and flight crews as necessary to ensure safety, reliability and efficiency. §      Performs other duties as assigned by the Senior Manager of Technical Programs.   Minimum Job Requirements: §      Hold a Mechanic’s Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings. §      Meet requirements of 14 CFR Part 65.83 §      Have one year of experience in a position responsible for returning aircraft to service §      Have at least three years of experience in a supervisory capacity in maintaining the same category and class of aircraft as used by Mesa Airlines, Inc.     Management Approval:   Date:   HR Approval:   Date:   This description covers the most significant duties performed; however, does not exclude other occasional work assignments                                                                                                          Effective Date May 2007
