Also to provide extraordinary customer service to all our customers all the time. | | Essential Functions: | | -
Transfers baggage and cargo from/to aircraft and protect it against weather, loss, theft and damage. Assist with passenger carry-on luggage -
Operates all ground equipment i.e. belt loaders, air start units, lift trucks, tugs, bag carts, lavatory carts and de-icing units. Also cleans and services the aircraft lavatory -
Work outdoors in all types of weather conditions and the environment that the ramp entails such as around loud aircraft and machinery -
Exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to get along with others -
May perform the duties of a commissary agent including stocking aircraft with items necessary for flight (drinks, peanuts, napkins, etc.) -
Completes paperwork and forms connected with work assignments pertaining to procedures -
To take on any responsibilities and tasks deemed necessary by the station manager or station supervisor -
Comply with all safety procedures and Station Policies -
Maintain the physical demands that are required on the ramp -
Assist in boarding passengers on to departing aircraft and Guide customers to and from the aircraft -
Be able to handle transitions in a timely manner including over sales, delays or cancelled flights, and any issued revolving around lost/damaged luggage -
Use public address system for boarding announcements -
Operate Jetway bridge and other required customer service equipment -
Resolve all customer situations by providing exceptional customer service -
Proficient in all computer systems and programs associated with the customer service position | | Minimum Job Requirements: | -
Must be a team player -
Must obtain a minimum of a high school diploma or GED -
Must be at least 18 yrs old with a valid US driver's license and a good driving record -
Must pass FAA 10-year background check. -
Must be able to lift 70 lbs -
Must be flexible, willing to work various hours, holidays, nights and weekends -
Must be able to work by climbing, bending, lifting, stooping, kneeling to get in and around aircraft and equipment -
Being able to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently -
Ability to work under stressful situations and tight time constraints -
Ability to be on your feet for long periods at a time -
