***Local Candidates Only***   Job Title: Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Mechanic Job code:   Reports To: Mechanics Lead/ GSE Shop Manager CO: 02 Dept 7050 Location: PHX Status: Non Exempt Salary Range:              EEO1   EEO JobGroup   Position Summary: The Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Mechanic position is responsible for utilizing appropriate tooling, equipment and material to accomplish maintenance functions.   Essential Functions:   Knowledge of Electrical wiring and diagram reading. Experience with Diesel and Gas (carbureted and injected) Engine maintenance (not total engine rebuilding). Knowledge of Automatic Transmission maintenance (not total transmission rebuilding). Chassis, Drive Train and Brake maintenance background. Knowledge of Exhaust, Engine cooling, and Hydraulic systems. Must perform basic welding functions. Experience with Automotive Air Conditioning/Heating systems. Must provide quality and timely service, maintenance, repair and replacement of all parts of GSE type equipment. Must comply with all company policies and procedures. Must comply with all safety policies and procedures. Must maintain shop housekeeping. Must work within the GSE shop budget. Must complete GSE equipment documentation daily. Other duties assigned by manger to perform tasks of the position.
