Maintenance Controller

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
·         Works under the supervision of Director of Technical Services.
·         Responsible for timely, economical repair of aircraft using approved resources. 
·         Ensures proper use of the MEL (Minimum Equipment List) by authorizing MEL items and monitoring these items for timely closure. 
·         Coordinates with System Operation Control the flow of aircraft scheduled to maintenance bases, and modifies the daily maintenance schedule in response to unscheduled maintenance events.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
Ensures notification of management personnel in event of accident, incident, or irregular operation as required by current Company manuals and Company policy. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Technical Services.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must possess the ability to communicate clearly orally and written. Must be able to use a personal computer for word processing and data input functions.  Must be able to use Aircraft Maintenance Manuals weighing up to 25 pounds.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed at a commercial airport Maintenance Hanger. Requires contact with staff and business relationships including the FAA.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School graduate or equivalent...or any combination of education and experience which enables one to perform the job functions. Must hold a valid Airframe and Powerplant mechanics license and have adequate training and professional experience.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks with a high degree of attention to detail. May be required to work nights, weekends or holidays
