ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Works under the supervision of the Director of Maintenance as the Heavy Check Representative for Pinnacle Airlines at contract facilities. Monitors and controls use of Pinnacle plans, policies and procedures relative to the maintenance, safety and reliability of aircraft undergoing major inspection.  Also ensures compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations.  Responsible for oversight of terms and conditions in contractual agreements between Pinnacle and the contract facility. Oversees all aspects of the heavy check process including inventory, shipping, paperwork, data entry, records transfer, component repair, warranty, engineering liaison, and turn time.  Also maintains communication with other Pinnacle departments to ensure timely action on all issues pertaining to the heavy check program.

OTHER FUNCTIONS : 

Performs additional functions (essential or otherwise) as may be assigned from time to time.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

Must possess the ability to communicate clearly in speech and writing. Must be able to use personal computers for both word-processing and data input functions. Must be able to use ladders, work stands, lifts, etc. and be able to work on all areas of the aircraft that may require access during performance of duties.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed at facilities under contract to perform maintenance for Pinnacle Airlines at various locations.  Requires contact with business relationships and FAA. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Graduate or equivalent...or any combination of education and experience, which enables one to perform the job functions. Must hold a valid Airframe and Powerplant mechanics license and have successfully completed the Systems Course for Fleet Type of aircraft undergoing inspection.  

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Analytical, managerial, and organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks with a high degree of attention to detail. May be required to work nights, weekends, or holidays.
