Additional Benefits
  • Maximum of $30K to supplement hour-building income
  • Amount determined based on the number of flight hours required to reach Airline Transport Certification minimum requirements (equivalent to $24 per flight hour)
  • Half of the funds disbursed upon program acceptance, remaining half disbursed per every 100 hours of flight completed
  • Conditional offer of employment as a First Officer at Piedmont
First Officer Compensation
  • $60,000 first year pay for first officers with all signing bonuses
  • $50.00 per hour for 1,000 hours
  • $18,00 signing bonus
Time Off
  • Guaranteed a minimum of 11 days off per month
  • 42 hours paid sick leave per year
  • 5 paid vacation days in your first year
  • 10 paid vacation days in your second year
Captain Upgrade
  • Upgrade in 12-15 months, sooner with Part 121 experience
  • After 2,500 total hours and 1,000 Part 121 hours, bid for captain
  • Pay increases to $53-$63 after upgrade

  • Low-cost health insurance covers doctor visits, hospitalization, prescriptions and vision
  • Dental coverage includes no-cost preventative care
  • Family coverage is less than $250 a month

Additional First Officer Benefits

  • Bid on crew base assignments based on vacancies and seniority
  • Crew bases conveniently located in Philadelphia (PHL); and Charlotte (CLT)
Minimum Qualifications
  • Employed by Piedmont Airlines (non-pilot position)
  • First Class Medical Certificate
  • Commercial Pilot License (CPL) between 1999 and 2014
Preferred Qualifications
  • College degree from an accredited school
  • Current employment in a pilot position
