Position Summary

As a High Experienced First Officer, you will impact PSA Airlines' business growth by aiding in safe and efficient flight operations and regulatory requirements of all activities related flight. The First Officer is Second-in-Command (SIC) of the flight. While acting in this capacity, the First Officer shall comply with all regulations and directives pertaining to the conduct of the flight in a manner suitable to the Captain.

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with other crewmembers to ensure a safe and reliable airline operation.
  • Complying with all applicable FARs, TSA, DOT regulations, company procedures and policies.
  • Comply with all administrative programs including airport/route qualification, flight time limitations, currency requirements (physicals, takeoffs and landings, home study courses, etc.), pilot flight equipment, uniform discipline, manuals, policies and procedures, and others, as assigned.
  • Compliance with Company and FAA procedures, directives and regulations affecting the proposed flight.
  • Has full authority and responsibility for all crewmembers and the safe and efficient conduct of the flight. Such authority commences at the time the crewmembers report for duty, continues while enroute, at intermediate departure points, and until the crewmembers have gone off duty to receive a rest period.
  • Submit reports on irregularities or incidents, as required.
  • Take an active role in promoting positive attitudes towards culture, core values, compliance, and safety.
  • Make sure pilot appearance, attendance, and personal conduct are in compliance with Company pol- icy, culture, and core values.
  • Comply with all administrative programs including airport/route qualification, flight time limitations, currency requirements (physicals, takeoffs and landings, home study courses, etc.), pilot flight equipment, uniform discipline, manuals, policies and procedures, and others, as assigned.
  • Immediately notify the Chief Pilot of any discrepancy or incident that may affect his/her ability, or Company ability, to perform within the parameters of safety, regulatory compliance, and fiscal responsibility.
  • Perform a visual preflight and post-flight (walk-around) inspection prior to each flight.
  • Be able to maintain and display a working knowledge of FAA requirements as well as Company and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs

Authorities:

  • Take action, as deemed necessary, to resolve any problems or situations that may compromise safety or compliance.
  • Direct the Flight Crew in a safe and efficient manner to meet the operational requirements of the Company.

Qualifications

Required

  • Must have 500 FAR 121 hours under the ATP requirements or the restricted ATP requirements
  • Will have a minimum of 2500 total flight hours with at least 500 hours of PIC or at least 950 hours as SIC
  • Will have at least 500 hours Multi-Engine Turbine
  • Must have FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit
  • Must have First Class Medical
  • Must be in possession of a valid US or Foreign Passport with applicable VISAs prior to training.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to demonstrate authorization to work in the US.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English

*Part 129 or foreign PIC/SIC experience is not applicable to FAR ยง 121.436 for PIC requirements

Additional Information

Supervisory Responsibility: This is a supervisory position.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, facsimile machines and filing cabinets.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb up and down stairs; lift weight up to 25 lbs; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
